Pure gold when flowing, shining all the way, when stopped, turns into a furious alloy.
Apart from flowing or being, pure gold doesn’t need anything to do, slightly reddish yellow, it is true brilliance. No wonder it is sought after.
Chen is pure gold when it comes to kung-fu and a dangerous alloy when furious. And he is that throughout the movie, boldly walking into a trap, breaking away effortlessly, reminding the villain each time that he is there to avenge his master’s brutal death.
His actions flow, his eagle eyes knows and he doesn’t hesitate in showing what kung-fu is to him. Resilience becomes the path and he walks ahead patiently. When uncontrollable, his loved ones come to guide him. She knows him only too well, she knows he is unstoppable now.
And he strikes again. Sharp stances, quick kicks, powerful punches, and tough blocks elegantly and almost charmingly bring his opponent’s end.
The authorities ready to destroy any brilliance that isn’t under control, come to arrest Chen. The gold then seeps within the cracks, taking a promise along that it will be enough to repair the structure.
Armed authority waits for Chen and he steps out, as pure as gold, ready to show what kung-fu means to him.
